二十五 (Accidental Voice Post, Japanese)

[An old but familiar frequency on the network springs back to life, crackling with a dull static. The signal clears once the radio is dropped to the ground with a clatter.]

This place...

[Haruka's voice becomes more clear as he picks up the communicator.] ...There's no mistaking it. Shit!

I've left them behind again. I've left... [The sound of approaching Shadows swallows up the rest of his words, accompanied by the jingle of his shakujou.]

Damn it...

[His weapon is smashed into one, and then another.] Damn it!!

[[ooc Guess who is back, folks. Haruka has been pulled out of Discedo once for his canon update, but now he's been pulled back again against his own will at the whims of the Scientists (and the mun). Needless to say, he's not feeling very happy about it.]]

[Kantarou didn't waste any time making his way to the street that Haruka had said. Haruka was back, he was back! Ha! He knew he would be, there was no reason to be concerned. And... even if he hadn't come back, he would have been safe at home. At least until the last moment Kantarou remembered....

But none of that mattered right now. What mattered was that Haruka had returned.]

HARUKA!

[He called out the minute he spotted the tengu in the distance. Picking up pace he ran to the other and threw his arms around his neck]

I missed you! Its felt like forever since you vanished! Did you know I made friends with a goddess while you were gone? Amaterasu sama showed up! Isn't that amazing?

[It didn't look like he would be letting go anytime soon.]

[As Kantarou made his approach, the last of the Shadows disappeared into a broken wisp of dark energy. Haruka paused, taking a moment to catch his breath--mostly from the shouting he did earlier, and let the end of his shakujou balance on the street below as he held onto it.

He recognized this city. Everything... all the broken decay, and these monsters. His grip tightened. It pissed him off.]

Hmm?

[The tengu turned over his shoulder as Kantarou called out to him, and turned in his footing. What was the point in feeling that he had to run to hi-] Oof! [He stumbled awkwardly as those arms were suddenly thrown around his neck.]

.....

[He was waiting? For how long? ...Was Kantarou exaggerating? Haruka let out a sigh.]

Slow down. You're barely making any sense as it is.

[He continued to hang on, as if Haruka would disappear again if he let go.]

You've been missing for almost two weeks. I couldn't find you anywhere....

[Kantarou paused a bit, then slowly let go. What was the point to dwell on what was past? He just needed to inform Haruka of all the stuff he had missed.]

Recently a lot of new people have shown up though! A young fox youkai named Shippo kun, and the goddess Amaterasu sama. I think there might be more interesting people, but I don't know yet.

Two weeks...

[Haruka repeated the words quietly to himself. It made no sense. Was everything about this world just as strange as the next?

He drew his hand up to his head, trying to think it all through after Kantarou had let him go.]

I went back. To our world.

Nothing had changed... and neither did you.

[Haruka glanced downward.] I thought...

What's that suppose to mean?

[He pouted taking it completely the wrong way.]

Based on other peoples experiences it's safe to say when we return little is changed. It only makes sense considering how many people are outside their own time lines. How could you have someone from the future, not remembering someone from the pasts absence?

[He reached out grabbing Haruka's hand and pulling it a bit.]

Lets go back, I'm sure it's not easy getting re acquainted like this. Must be a bit of a shock really.

[It was more or less true.]

When you put it that way, it doesn't feel real. Like some kind of illusion... [He clicked his tongue, frustrated.] Ugh... It just pisses me off!

[Haruka snapped back to attention once he felt his hand being taken, but pulled it away almost immediately. It's almost as if he didn't wish to be touched.]

[He was quiet for a moment, contemplating the current situation in his mind. Right now, Kantarou wasn't tempting fate in the same way as he was then... Maybe it wouldn't hurt to be agreeable until things could start making sense again.]

My hands are dirty from fighting those monsters.

[It was a lie, and he clenched his fingers to hide that, stepping on ahead.]

[Kantarou just acted like his normal cheerful self. He really was excited, and happy that Haruka was back. But of course there was more to it, and for now he chose to not think of anything too complicated. It wasn't so important at the moment.]

[Haruka nodded back, and sighed quietly at the fact that he couldn't store his shakujou just like before.] Che.

[Walking forward, he tilted his head up slightly. Cloudy. Cloudy and cold... It made him want to take a nap.]

[Kantarou smiled, and simply began walking. Even though it was suggested he should give Haruka his gift on Valentines day, maybe he would do it now. He was pretty sure Haruka would enjoy it, and it might make him more comfortable.]
