onikui_tengu: (oni-kui tengu)
... -you want to die? Because if you continue doing whatever you want like this, then your death will only come faster here.

You've become a threat. It would just be easier to hunt you down and have you for dinner.

[While the communicator is shuffled around by the fabric lining Haruka's jacket pocket as he shifts position, the sound of fluttering wings can be heard nearby. Along with the occasional soft cooing of mourning doves.]

Calm down. I'm not interested in doing that, so don't worry.

...If you were brought here the same way as everyone else, then I can understand. You're probably not very happy to be stuck here.

Just-... [BZZZZAP!] AUGH! Shit! [The mourning doves take off in a flurry of panicked movements and wings, startled by Haruka's sudden shout.] Ah-

[...] Hm.

[Click.]
onikui_tengu: (don't look at me that way)
[Voice]

One... two... three...

There are thirty of them altogether, including this one.

[The telltale clinking sound of a glass marble rattling around in a now-empty bottle of Ramune is picked up over the receiver, as Haruka tilts the bottle from side to side.]

...

[Clink, clink.]

Why would they give this to me? ...Ah- [A random thought slips in.] ... Subconscious thinking?

[After a long pause, Haruka scratches his head with a free hand, sighing.] How stupid.

... Oi.

[The video recorder is switched on, with Haruka putting the bottle of Ramune down harshly upon the table. The camera can focus on that for awhile.] Tell me how I can get the marble out of this thing.
onikui_tengu: (so many questions left unanswered)
[The transmission cuts in to the sound of shifting fabric and a lone pair of footsteps hitting along the asphalt. It must have turned on in one of his jacket pockets by accident.

Out patrolling the streets, there isn't much else to be heard past the occassional breeze or the distant howl of one of the wild wolves.

Suddenly, he stops. His breath hitches, and his fist comes slamming down against the side of an abandoned building with an audible WHUMP.

After a few seconds, a bit of crumbling rock can be heard falling to the ground, and the walk continues on until the feed times out.
]
onikui_tengu: (just not in the mood)
[The communicator is turned on with an audible click, and the following snippet of conversation can be heard taking place between Haruka and Kantarou.]

Why wouldn't you let me to take you there?

They would just be needlessly concerned.

This is mostly my fault...

Don't be silly, I should have actually spoken with Subaru-kun first and learned more.

...Does it hurt? That scar...

...I'm fine...

I'll go get some bandages.

...Thank you.

Try to rest in the meantime.

Don't worry, I'll be fine in no time~

Hm. [A door closes with a soft creak, and then Haruka can be heard leaning back on a part of the wall nearby with a light thump before slowly sliding down.] Tired...

[A few fingers brush up against the comm as he takes it out of his pocket.] Che. That was hardly satisfying.

[Click.]

[[ooc Seishirou and Kantarou had a spiritual battle in the graveyard. Haruka and Ice also fought with them. The end was a draw--all parties injured. Haruka carried Kantarou back to their room in the high school, though tired and injured himself. He's currently resting against the wall outside of the room Kantarou is staying in for what he hopes will be just a few minutes. Also, from the conversation above: Italics = Kantarou.]]
onikui_tengu: (dressed for success)
It's cold. I think that I'd rather be inside... Especially with all the commotion outside and over the network.

[...]

You were right, Shinjiro. A roof is no place to sleep in the winter. ...Maybe I've just gotten used to falling on old habits.

Stop by for some hot cocoa, if you wish. I think this is one of the few chances that he'll ever be feeling this generous. Or at least the powder won't last forever.

onikui_tengu: (you make my head hurt)
[A muffled groan can be heard, as if half-spoken into a pillow.] So noisy...

[There is the sound of a blanket getting disheveled as he sits up.] For even only a moment, would it be possible for everyone to just shut up? As if being unable to shut out all of that noise wasn't enough after I was turned to stone... Ow. Dammit, my head...

...I wasn't able to understand everything while I was in that state either. Someone still needs to explain what exactly happened to me.

Hm... Kantarou, I want to know only one thing from you right now.

How the hell did I end up in the high school anyway? I could have sworn that I was out on the street before...

[Then his voice becomes more irritated.] ...and will you stop hanging all over me like that already!? My muscles still ache after being stuck standing like that for days and you're not helping!
onikui_tengu: (speechless)
So... just like people are brought to this world, they can also be taken away... How is this possible? If it is so simple, then why are we made to be brought here at all?

I'm getting tired of finding more questions than answers in this place.

...

Kantarou, you said that there are not any youkai in this city. Are you certain...?
Lately, I'm starting to have my doubts. Unless they can be brought into the city from the outside.

Komachi, I hope that you've been able to find a safe place. Find Hayashida-san if you haven't already, since you two seem to be from the same world. He seems reliable enough.

Shinjiro, I'll be leaving soon. There's something that I have to take care of first.

onikui_tengu: (hmph.)
I don't know what kind of useless things I have been saying over the last two days... But if it is anything like the ones I still remember, then any of you would be better off just forgetting that they were ever said at all.

They remain hidden for a reason, and usually that reason is you.

If Kantarou is any indication, I am not fond of being anyone's plaything. Not to him, the scientists or anyone else that I've met in this forsaken city.

That includes you doctors as well. As much as I would like to have this chip removed from my body, I am not offering myself up to be your guinea pig. Don't listen to that fool.
