Basically, waiting for this illness to "fade" has only proved impossible. Either the affected wind up dying, or the ones who don't have the strength to fight them.

I have no interest in pointing fingers... What I'd like to know instead is why there doesn't seem to be a better solution. Is there no way to develop a medicine to cure or a seal to bind these people?

Their powers and strength are the real problem. Because they can only use it to harm. It is beyond their control to do otherwise. I haven't been proven wrong yet.

Hmph. If anyone sees death as the quickest method of turning this around... You've let this world change you too much. ...You've let them change you too much.

I thought so... But if that power can be suppressed, then it could still give us extra time to find that cure.

I thought maybe it'd calm down, or... but, even without a real target he was runnin' around tryin' to find something to attack.

I can contain one as long as you'd like, but I don't know about cures.

I heard about what happened from Kantarou. ...So that was your kekkai.

You're not the only one with that ability, Arisugawa-kun. Preserve your strength for now until we find a time where we'll need it the most.

Yeah. [...] You could see it...?

I'm already fine. Just needed a good night's sleep an' some band-aids. I just had to take it down because I didn't want to risk it droppin' on it's own. Next time, if I'm attacked, I'll fight back.

[identity profile] onikui-haruka.livejournal.com 2009-06-25 01:59 am (UTC)(link)
I know what a kekkai is. Of course I could see it.

Hmph. Fine. ...What would be the consequences of the kekkai dropping on its own?

[identity profile] shockinglycool.livejournal.com 2009-06-25 02:00 am (UTC)(link)
...It doesn't work like that back home, but...

I am fine. [...] Property damage, at best. An earthquake at worst.

[identity profile] onikui-haruka.livejournal.com 2009-06-25 07:08 am (UTC)(link)
Hmmm...

Second-guessing that would be pointless. Get on with it. ...The kekkai would destroy the surrounding area?

[identity profile] shockinglycool.livejournal.com 2009-06-25 02:24 pm (UTC)(link)
If it was torn down instead of pulled down, yeah. Maybe not, but... I'd rather not test it out, y'know?

[identity profile] onikui-haruka.livejournal.com 2009-06-25 09:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Possibly.

...Thanks, Arisugawa-kun. You've given me some useful information.

[identity profile] shockinglycool.livejournal.com 2009-06-25 09:22 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm a helpful guy. Anything y'ever need, let me know. And call me by my first name already.

[identity profile] shockinglycool.livejournal.com 2009-06-25 09:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Come on, we're friends. "Sorata-kun" is fine if "Sora" is too informal.

[identity profile] onikui-haruka.livejournal.com 2009-06-25 09:29 pm (UTC)(link)
If you have to tell me how I should address you, then what makes you so sure that I think of you as a friend? We're co-workers. Acquaintances.

No thanks.

[identity profile] shockinglycool.livejournal.com 2009-06-25 09:35 pm (UTC)(link)
You have to think about whether or not we're friends? Isn't it obvious already?

He dodges the assumption craftily.

[identity profile] onikui-haruka.livejournal.com 2009-06-25 09:37 pm (UTC)(link)
... How I address you, stupid.

[identity profile] shockinglycool.livejournal.com 2009-06-25 09:38 pm (UTC)(link)
But they're linked. Besides, since I call you Haru, there's no need to be formal back.

[identity profile] onikui-haruka.livejournal.com 2009-06-25 09:45 pm (UTC)(link)
I wish you wouldn't. My name is fine the way it is without shortening it.

[identity profile] onikui-haruka.livejournal.com 2009-06-26 02:00 am (UTC)(link)
I don't want to be "cute."

[identity profile] shockinglycool.livejournal.com 2009-06-26 02:02 am (UTC)(link)
It also sounds more friendly.
