The communicator falls to the floor with a clatter, and apart from a loud muffled cry of frustration... a heavy silence fills the air.]

WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?!

The barrier went up after I was shocked by the communicator.

It happened instantly, and so it caught me off guard.

No, it doesn't. It's just a barrier created out of water, so it's only cold and wet.

The only time it tries to hurt me is when I try to break through it. Anything that I try to use against it gets repelled back.
